I think Phil Gordon is a very underrated poker player [/ QUOTE ] I think Gordon is the basic every guy. By that, I mean he is nothing special, and definetely not a prodigy. But he is dedicated, studies hard, and never lets anything get in his way. He is someone who excels because he has the desire to do so.

How about asking him this: "Phil - when you and other top pros write books, there's plenty of good advice, but not that much that really stands out as being far beyond the ideas of most good poker players. Is that because of the audience you're targeting, because you're holding back some of the best stuff, or for some other reason?"
