Default Re: Going Card Dead Preflop...

[ QUOTE ]

What do you do when all you have done for hours is fold preflop?

Going card dead at the table has happened to me a number of times, and during a full ring game, I can handle it.

However, today was the first time that I'd gone completely card dead during a shorthanded game, and I simply had to sit back and watch the blinds eat away at my stack. I simply got up and left the table after a few hours play (despite the game continuing to be absolutely great). I figure, if there are no cards today, I'll simply comeback tommorrow.

What about you? Do you walk away? Or do you grit your teeth and bear it?

live or on-line?

if you're card dead but the game is GREAT be patient. If you think you're tilting because of the bad cards and might get antsy and play crap, go for a walk for an orbit. But if the game is good and you're able to play your best you should still be at the table regardless of how many times you've had to muck preflop.

Also... if stealing blinds is possible, this is probably a good time to do it.
