Hand 1) I fold turn and call river like everyone else said. It may be smart to raise river against certain opponents, but I think the generally correct play is to call.
Hand 2) I don't know that you necessarily need to bet this turn. My instinct is that you do, but this could be WA/WB and it seems to make sense to check/call. My main problem is that I really have no idea what villain could be holding here. I don't mind how you played it. |

I don't see why everyone thinks you need to bet the turn in hand 2. If he has an ace and made it this far, he isn't going to fold to a turn bet. There aren't really many draws out, so a free card isn't likely to hurt you. If he has a worse queen, he might now fold to a bet, but if you check he might bet the river or call a river bet. The only reason I see to bet the turn would be so you could check behind and prevent being bluffed big on the river.
