Was this a good way to play this hand?
$50 buy-in home game 11 handed
I have 66 UTG, I call, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, and the two blinds call. flop is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Blinds check, I raise BBx3, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls, Blinds fold. (Note: UTG+2 had been calling all night, and I've got him pinned as a fish) Turn is Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG+2 only has 325 left, so I call him all-in, he thinks for a second, then calls. River is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] You can probably guess what he had, but I was wondering what you thought about my play. Results below in white: He had KTd, and caught his flush Also, later in the night, when I'm small-stacked, I go all in w/AKo preflop, he's only caller, he has KTo, and he catches a Ten to put me out. |

Re: Was this a good way to play this hand?
He just got lucky, nothing more, calling stations are great in some ways and a nightmare in others, theres nothing worse than watching them go farther in a tourney while you go to the rail, but thats poker.

Re: Was this a good way to play this hand?
You called his all in on the turn for 325, but don't say how much the blinds/antes were. How much is in the pot? How many chips do you have left here? Definitely not enough information to form a judgement on the turn call. If there is 3000 in the pot, nice call, if there is 50 in the pot, bad call.

Re: Was this a good way to play this hand?
I think what he meant was he put him all in as opposed to called an all in.........which IMO was a good play.
