Expekt leaving the Prima Poker network is quite normal. They've grown so much and I believe they're the biggest Prima skin. It's a big loss for Prima. And it's a big loss for everyone. All the fish they bring in from their sportsbooks is very valuable. I have a lot of respect for a company as Expekt. They do not offer any rakeback and use their marketing and PR to attract new players. All the smaller prima skins will now be punished because they offer all the big rake back deals to attrack the sharks. The sharks will not have their fish anymore.

MrBookmaker, also a Prima poker skin has been sold to Unibet last week. Unibet uses B2B poker and has become the seecond largest bookmaker in Europe (without uk ofcourse). What will happen to MrBookmaker's pokerrroom is unclear.

To be continued.

I think this is a brilliant business decision by Expekt. They have gotten to be one of the biggest Prima skins (if not the biggest) and have some very loyal customers. By going solo they will collect a bigger share of the rake their players generate.

Some other things to consider:

- Because of heavy TV marketing, they have a lot of new customers. But when the newbies lose their money, large parts of the loss ends up in the pockets of the better players from the other skins, thus Expekt will not rake these dollars again. I would think that Expekt see that the benefits of bringing in new players will be larger in a stand alone Expekt poker room than in the Prima network and that the company can generate more rake from their player base in their own room.
- As the Expekt players get better, a lot og them start to look for rakeback deals. And when they get the 35% deal, they will leave Expekt and start to play at some other sites in the Prima network. Expekt probably see that they will hold on to the customers longer in a stand alone Expekt room. Maybe Expekt even can have some kind of rebate for the most valued customers in their own room. The competition with other Prima skins in terms of bonuses and rakeback is probably cutting into the profits of Expekt.

[/ QUOTE ] Not really, its quite obvious that Mr Bookmaker will go for the B2B network as Unibet is a 25% shareholder of the B2B-network (and with 10% more in option, numbers from my head but close to truth) and thus will gain more by adding mr bookmaker...

My information on this is at least 2 years old. Back then, a major Prima room received 80% of the rake and Prima ran/paid for the security/collusion teams and central server for it's 20%.

Rakeback is a major issue to the ongoing success of a standalone or a member of a network of cardrooms.

That would be kinda sad...
B2B still haas to improve a lot, maybe they've plans to upgrade their software. I think Unibet has more than 25%, I don't know how much exactly.
Anyway, I'm really curious about the future of online poker in Europe.
I'm starting to realise how big poker is. In US, Scandinavian countries and UK all people know about poker. If you ask at random if they know poker they'll probably tell you that they're a player themselves.
But in Belgium, most of the people don't even know what poker is. They think about dices. The poker still has to grow here. And I'm looking forward to this. It will be great Now they look at me as if I'm an idiot when I tell them I play poker

Playing one table at Prima might be ok, but when grinding it out for four tables, Party software, for naming one, is superior to Prima in oh so many ways.

[/ QUOTE ]

This sentence just doesn't make any sense. Prima has the miniview. I can 4-table with my old laptop! If I want to 4-table in Party I need a monitor with big resolution.

The minitables alone make Prima the best software imho. And it's fast too, there are no stupid animations or characters.
