Should I be breaking this with a rough pat 8
I'm in the BB with 87643. Folded to Button who raises, this usually means some kind of 2 card draw. SB reraises this usually means at least a 1 card draw. I cap. My reasoning is that I have the best hand now and I want to get the original raiser out and get it heads up with position against the SB.
(12 SB) SB draws 1, I stand pat, Button draws 2. checked to me, I bet, both call. (7.5 BB) SB draws 1, I stand pat, Button draws 1. checked to me, I bet, both call (10.5 BB) SB draws 1, I stand pat, Button stands pat. At this point I know I'm screwed and I'm not putting another dime in that pot. checked around. Should I be capping this hand PF or should I just call and see what develops then draw. Also if i should break, what am I breaking and drawing to? |

No way. For one thing, that's a pretty bad draw to break an eight for.

I'd probably fold this hand preflop in this spot. I think if you play it this hand requires you to put an awful lot of money in when you don't seem to have the equity to do so. (for instance, what do you do if one of the initial raisers stands pat after the first betting round?)

I think folding would be pretty bad. Button could be raising on as little as deuce-wheel. If I were sb I'd probably three bet with any good 2 card draw.

if you were thinking about breaking this hand you would have been better off just folding it. you played it fine.
