I found myself doing the second example the other day deep in a tournament. I tried to steal w/63s, not noticing the microstack behind me. I was getting 7:1. I folded like an 8yr old. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I'm in no way an expert, but I've noticed that people that do what the OP describes tend to be ego players. They don't play for money, they play for respect and pride. They do pay off with second (and third out of three) best, they rarely raise the river unless it's a lock. They fall in love with unimproved AA-KK.
