Default what happened to disconnect protection on party??

20/40 party. 3 people limped in, I raised with KQ on the button. Flop comes queen high. The cutoff bet and I was trying to raise. My screen froze. It came back with the clocking showing 1 second and then before I could move my mouse, my hand was folded. huh? Everyone else folded and the cutoff won $237. Can someone expain this? I have sent party an email.

Hopefully they will remove it. It does by far much more bad than good.

You said in your story that you were NOT disconnected when your hand was folded so...

First of all, I agree with the person who said they should get rid of it. I don't like it either. But since it is there and I have had people abuse it against me, I feel that I could atleast use it for what it is intended for. Also, when I have seen people reconnected, they are given an extended clock. I did not have any time to respond. Even though the clock said 1 second, it was not a full second. It pretty much folded my hand instantly upon reconnection.

ok well party's response was that according to them I was still connected and just didn't act in time. wtf? is it possible that my computer just froze but kept my connection with party? i have never seen that happen before. if so, i'm going to be much more careful with what other programs i'm running at the same time that might cause my computer to freeze.

Some programs like Norton eat up a lot of resources.do a
CTRL-ALT-Delete and check the processes tab.You might be
suprised at all of the crap thats running.

Before you remove anything google it to make sure that it's
not something vital to your system.

definitely. If you're at 20/40 and winning, getting a decent computer and connection would be +EV.

I don't know about this, I just don't see it abused very often at the midlimits. But, I have definitely had instances where I have 4 tables open, big hands developing on 2 or 3 of them and there is a blackout all of a sudden. So in my opinion it is +EV.
