The beginning of his career reminds me a lot of Frank Thomas.

Which is probably the smartest thing you've ever said, Clark.

The dude played HS ball here. Why would he go to HS if he were like 19? I dunno, maybe I'm naive, but I don't see that happening.

and juco here.

dominicans lie about there age, most of the time their real age is discovered later and its always 2-4 years younger than what they really are. its well known in the minor leagues and joked about, its locker room humor...i was basically just joking.

I wasn't sure, I figured you were smarter than that but there're a lot of people that doubt his real age.

Guys, check out Pujols at bats totals for his first five years. Or, I'll give them to you.....

I'm into stats a little bit, and have never noticed anything like this. What does everyone think?

good career, I think his body will break down around the same timr Griffey's did.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why do you think this?

[/ QUOTE ]just a guess, not particularly based on anything. It is important to remember that guys like Bonds/Clemens are anomally's (sp?), and with the supposed end of the steroid era, look to see players careers to take a more normal pattern.

Like Hank Aaron's, or McCovey's, whose best year came when he was 31. And second best at 32. And third best at 34 and 35...
