Default Player nicknames...

Do you immediately make small judgements on internet players based on their name.

Would you rather call an all in from 'bluffer5674' or from 'rocksolidfred' before you have analysed the players game?

Would you consider an immature username so people look down at your play?

The only bias I make is if I see someone's s/n as mix of upper and lower cases. If I saw DaViDsKLanSkY2005, I would probably pick him as the fish.

Other than that, no. I base skill upon the raise amounts and the types of calls a player makes.

I usually don't make judgements. I guess I do a little bit, as I would give more respect to a "Robert Smith" than to "WpTfAn2006." I'm going to join a new site soon and I'm considering going with something like "LOvEtOsHoP" or something. Maybe people will call me with worse hands thinking I'm just some dumb rich girl.

Anything with the word "Dawg" in it seems to be fishy.

Anyone who calls themselves a fish or guppy tends to be shark.

No. I wait until Pokertracker has accumulated enough hands and has autorated them. Names mean very little.

i wont mention my name, but it is rather amuzing. It gets drunk people laughing which seems to make the game alittle easier for me. I dont really even read a persons name.

I was hoping this was a thread on how to get a nickname

If somebody has "bluffer" in their name, chances are that they seldom bluff. Sure, some people will use second-level thinking there, and bluffers actually will name themself "bluffer," but I'd imagine more often than not, they are the opposite of what they pretend to be.

Agreed.

Also I noticed people who have the word lucky or luck in their names are sharks as well.

Also people who have random numbers at the end of their name like say dawg29487 or something like that, are usually fishy.

Most people who have a name without numbers that is just nicely typed like say, random_player or randomplayer, are either solid or sharks.

Got some other ones?
