This is one of my big leaks. Not folding to check-raises from passive players with hands like TP or an overpair on the river. Unless the pot is decent sized(10 BB or more) I should likely fold.

Its not a 1 in 7 situation, its 9.5:1 and closing the action - so you need to be good here 1 in 10.5 times, or 9.5%. That's close enough that I'm paying this off to an unknown opponent.
However, I don't think a check-behind on the river would have been that bad. By betting we risk 1 BB to gain only 1 BB if UTG calls with a worse hand - if UTG folds, has been calling down with an A, or has a made flush, we gain nothing. |
