Default How come so many people play on Party Poker?

I've noticed on 2+2 there is a huge number of players who play online, especially at party poker. My question is why??? I've sat there and watched the $3-6 tables and from what I could tell, it was a pretty tight group of players, some rocks and some TAGS- NOT a game that promotes a lot of profitabilty. Plus the pots were freakin tiny. $10, $15, $9 pots were quite common.

Now, when I go to my local casino, the pots can get downright HUGE and the action is juicy which i love. Sure the swings can be rough, but when you catch a rush, the profit is unreal!!!!

You are watching the wrong tables, look for the ones with 8-12 bb's average then identify the tables that have 4-5 to most flops, sit down then find 3 others. The games are there, not every hand has 4+ people to the pot but enough to make profit.

If you want action with everyone in and more like your casino game then to be honest the play money table is the place to be, .5/1 can be quite loose with lots of action but even then probably not up to casino standards.

I guess I'm old fashioned. Ironically, I did start seriously playing Hold em online at pacific poker and party. then i hit the casino. first time I was quite nervous and didnt do so well. But, i noticed the action was great and players were really bad. So I kept going at it, went to vegas and played live games and did well. Now, the nervousness is long gone. I really enjoy the seeing the looks of desperation on peoples face and when a live player calls out "rack please!" Plus I get free food too, fun stuff!

Casino: 35 hands/hour
Online: 350+ hands/hour

Yes. 3/6 online is much tougher than 3/6 in a casino, but your overall winrate in $/hour is much higher due to the shear volume of hands you can get 6-8 tabling.

Also, let's say you're playing the mirage. You'll find about 4 tables of 3/6 going that are full. You will get assigned a seat. Seat/Table changes take forever. You may get on a good table but out of position on a maniac. By the time you get the right seat at the right table, it's no longer the right seat. This process can also take hours, or is not possible. You may have to go to another casino (if one is available) to get a good table.

I can change tables online (choosing from more than 50), find the right seat on the right table in less than 5 minutes.

I have notes on 85k+ players at PP. I have 0 notes on players live. Notes are kept almost automatically online. Live... not so automatic.
