Default Preflop Question

I was in the following situation earlier today:
UTG has a PFR of 3% over something like 500 hands.
UTG raises and it's folded to me in MP with AKo. I 3-bet, but I'm wondering if the correct play would be to just call. With only 3% PFR, it's very likely he has a high pocket. Thoughts?

According to Pokerstove your equity vs AK-AQ, AA-QQ is still 51%.
So a 3-bet is in order.

Not to mention other hands yet to act that you're wanting to shut out. The 3-bet is fine.

Does a pfr=3 indicate that he will raise AQ UTG? I think a more likely hand range is AK, AA-JJ.

In pokerstove, my equity vs AA-JJ, AK is a little less than 40%. The thing is, even though the equity gives a nice estimate for how I'm doing against a given range of hands, it doesn't take into account the fact that when I flop TPTK and he has an overpair or a set, that I'm going to lose a lot of money. And then there's the times when I flop TPTK higher than his pocket and (maybe) he'll just muck on the flop not earning me that much.
