Default Flack Attack

Since posting 25-50 hands is the new black, here are a few aginst Layne Flack from Saturday. This post is mostly an excuse for me to snivel, and has no redeeming content at all.

Hand 1

Flack limps on the SB and I check in the BB with T7o. Pot 100. Flop Td 7s 5d. Pot, raise pot, reraise pot, call. This took about five seconds. Pot is 2700. Turn is a 5. Hmm. Flack bets pot. I think for a few seconds and move him in for his last 2500 or so. He calls. River is a 9 and his 86o owns me.

Hand 2

7 handed. BIGWOLF opens for 175 in EP. If you've watched this game at all recently you know this means he is still breathing and was dealt two cards. Flack makes it 600 on the button. I make it about 2100 in the SB with AA. Flack thinks and calls. Flop is AK3r. I can see most of the aces, so he must have a pair, right? Maybe if I check he'll hit a set or try to move me off QQ. We both check. The turn is a J. I bet maybe 1800 and get called. The river is small and I move in his last 3200 and lose to QTo.

"So when you flop a Set of Aces, you immediately go to betting - and you bet a large amount to prevent somebody from drawing at an inside Straight cheaply."

Screw you, Doyle.

Hand 3

I open for 150 UTG with AQo. Everyone calls, and Flack raises maybe 800 more from the SB. I move in for 5k total and he calls with 22. I make a pair and win. Woohoo.

Flack later calmed down (or sobered up) and played some very solid poker.

Matt, 100k is not a bankroll for this game.

Glad to hear you say that. I worry about some of you guys. 100K wasn't my idea of a bankroll. It's what I'd want before blowing 30K on that game. The other 70K wouldn't get touched. But like I said, big bankroll is like a big hat. I'm a cattle guy and know how to put that money to better use. Some of us ain't retired yet you know.

If you ever start hitting you will clean up hugely. Lane is playing absolutely terrinly. In fact it's hard to believe it's Lane Flack. How can he not be broke if he plays like that? But I haven't played with him.

Matt

Gift isn't Spirit Rock also from Berkeley. For some reason Nor Cal seems to be a haven for NL players compared to the limit crazies in So Cal

Dude, I watched you play some and you got dominated by BIGWOLF and Nikolai and others. I think u suck pretty bad. Maybe you should stick to low-limit Omaha/8 or something. I think they have some games that would be pretty good for you at The Oaks.

If he really sucks so bad why not jump in and take advantage of him?

Good idea, thx! Usually he busts out too fast, but I'll try and jump in faster next time I see him playing.

Gift no offense, but aren't there better times to play instead of 4 handed with SR, MagicPitch and kid55?

Sheesh.

I guess winning 3 buy-ins from him in 15 minutes helped assuage your pain. What on earth is going on with that guy? His current 500K prize just make him wanna go blow off some/and steam or what?
