Default $200 WPT Foxwoods Satellite, Final Table

I HATE the HAND CONVERTER...rant off, I feel better

The final table just formed, 9 players left, 1-2 seat, 3-5 get cash. I DON'T CARE about the money as I busted 3rd 3 weeks ago in the $100 WPT Legends satellite. I've NEVER been so disappointed over winning $2500 in my life

Anyway, 1st hand at the new table. Blinds at 100/1k/2k, I have J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the Button with T15k. Table folds to me. SB has T35k, BB has T13k...both are unknown.

NO WAY I can fold here and it's just not strong enough to try anyting fancy. Rounds cost T4k, so I'm hurting! Other stacks at the table: T56k, T56k, T32k, T16k, T9k, T8k.

I can't "standard raise" then fold as that'd be 1/2 me stack territory.

Everyone pushes here, right? Thanks!

Does a push in this spot ever signify weakness?

I would push by the way.

I battle with that, especially in this spot with 7xBB. Still don't think I can raise 3-4xbb then fold to a push or scary board. I still think it's fold or push in this spot and I need that dead money

Easy push.

SB will need a medium pocket pair or a good ace to call off his stack, and you have enough xhips still that you can damage the BB, limiting his calling hands.

Just out of curiosity, would you all push any two at this point? Thanks.

if you can't push this, what hand are you waiting for in this spot?

This is more of a spheepishingly check with the teacher to make sure I'm on the right line

I'm more or less a weekend warrior newbie in training who's met with a modicum of success

Same tourney, when it was down to 6, 5 cash and I watched the Button push with 92s, the BB woke up with AK and he was out....was 4th in chips at the time.

If you aren't happy with the $2500, I'll gladly add it to my meager bankroll. :P

But yes, easy push given your position and the blinds. A standard raise isn't necessarily bad, it does give you a chance to fold your hand if you're played back against, and still have enough chips for another shot at a double-up (plus position on the other players)

But there's already so many chips out there, a push is defintely worth it.
