Default Poker tracker: simple vs weighted table averages

If I am finally starting to understand this feature under weighted table average it actually counts players who you happen to have more hands on to a greater extent in the table VP$IP etc. Am i understanding this correctly? If so how could this be helpful? Why is this the default?

I didn't even know you could change it. There are some rocks in my DB that when they sit at a nice 30+ table, drop it to 18. Where is the option to change to simple?

Its in preferences. You just have to uncheck the box.

I'm not seeing a check box for that under the preferences tab.

[/ QUOTE ]I agree; it's totally absurd. It takes a fundamental misunderstanding of basic statistics and math to think this is a reasonable calculation.

I've heard all sorts of defenses (usually on the PT forum) about how "you want the data you're sure of to count more" or something. It just made me depressed.

FWIW, I think that PAHUD uses a simple average.
