Default Skipping the 22\'s?

Hey,

I currently play the 11's and was on the verge of moving to the 22's once my bankroll hit 100 buy ins when I made a MTT score last night that put my roll at the 100 buyin level for the 33's? What are your thoughts on skipping a level if you are sufficiently rolled for the next level? I realize that this would be very foolish if the step were from the 55 to the 215s? But is the difference really that great between 22's and 33's? I recall reading some posts from respected posters saying that the 33s are the most difficult relative to the buy in to beat. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also, how would your advice change, if at all, regarding Party 33's with t800 v. at a site like Stars or Full Tilt with t1500

BTW, I am a part-time player about 20-25 hours a week two-tabling. I don't have the computer equipment nor the attention span to 8 or 16 table like some of you monsters. Thanks for any replies.

no, play the 22s.
then try the 33s after you prove you can beat the 22s.

IMHO play the $22's to see if you have the ability to consistently beat them. Which, by the way, you probably can since you've been beating the $11's. Still, play the $22's for a couple weeks or a month, and if you still feel pretty confident in your ability, then you should move up.

The 33s are noticably harder than the 22s, and a lot harder than the 11s. I agree with the other posters - try the 22s for a while and see how you do first.

Thanks for the replies. I have mixed some 22's in already and had decent success. The 22's I've played are generally at t1500 sites, where you can actually (gasp!) play a little bit of poker before it becomes pushbot. Do you guys think the difference is as great at these sites or is your experience strictly talking pushbot Party Poker.

The quality of play between the 11's and 33's on Stars (1500 stack site) is significant enough that it probably makes sense to spend at least some time at the 22's to help with the transisition.

I played about 100 (which is 2 months for me since I single table) at the 22's before moving up.

But heh, if you have the bankroll and you're willing to step down should things not go well, it doesn't always hurt to take a shot.

I belong to the few here that think there is a significant difference in difficulty between the 11s and the 22s. Not in the way that the 22s are unbeatable, but in that you will have to play much better poker to reach a 20%+ ROI in the 22s. You will get less free gifts in the form of level 1 double ups copmared to the 11s.

So I definately don't think you should skip the 22s. If you bring what is a winning game at the 11s to the 33s there is a pretty good chance you will be surprised by how poorly your old tricks work. Learn a few more tricks at the 22s and then move up.

just to echo as one who just moved from the 22s to 33s and now mixing in some 55s. Spend some time at the 22s at least 500 games if not more would be ideal. You dont have as many people in the 33s busting out as early and the 22s are a more gradual adjustment. Although you will still find terrible players at both.

The 22s are more profitable IMO. Great combo of loose early play and terrible bubble play.

I jumped straight from 11s to 33s and thought they were really easy, but not as bad as the 11s of course.
