Re: 2001FPs, Ebay and the UK
I just sold 2 2405fpws to the UK from the US, I said the value was $50 a piece on the customs form. It worked.

Can see that working a bit more if they were used! Also - just in case you weren't aware, under UK law, if a Customs form is filled in fraudulently, "the importer", ie your buyer could be held criminally liable if the fraud was discovered and may face a fairly hefty fine, along with a criminal record and all the joy that entails. Hence I'd rather do the import all above board and pay any duty due Mat |

Re: 2001FPs, Ebay and the UK
I got mine sent from the US and they charged me about 120 GBP for taxes! I dont think there is any way to get around this. I send that one back and bought mine for 380 gbp from ebay uk. I'm sure you can find it around 300 pounds at the british ebay if you keep looking.

Re: 2001FPs, Ebay and the UK
i got mine about a year ago now for £300 incuding postage from the US.
again, they just printed a lower value on the outside of the box and therefore no taxes for me to pay. |

Re: 2001FPs, Ebay and the UK
Eh, I used to do a shitload of eBay sales to Canada and the UK.
The solution is to claim no value or <$50 on the customs form, and insure through a third party package insurance companym like U-PIC. Of course, the receiver is the one liable if customs figures it out, but I always asked a head of time if they were ok with it, and 98% did it. |
