Limp, limp, raise, then I muck AK.
Stars $11. Blinds are 25/50. UTG calls 50, 2 folds, another player calls 50, 1 fold, CO (T2790) raises to 285. Button folds. I have T4710 and muck AKo from SB.
I felt I wouldn't be able to bluff him off of his hand on the flop and I'd only be good if an A or K flop. Otherwise, I'm facing a continuation bet almost every time. |

Ummm How about... Call?
Take a flop, Ace or King hits, check-raise all in. Folding is an extremely weak play vs a short stack here, I think you have to play this pot if you want to accumulate chips. Pushing All-in, Calling, 3-5x BB re-raise are all better than folding. |

Re: Limp, limp, raise, then I muck AK.
The CO doesn't need a huge hand to raise the limpers. Folding AKo to a single raise is generally weak/tight. Reraising is awkward given the stack sizes and being OOP. It's an overbet, but you could push.
Seeing the flop you are OOP and your opponent has some initiative as the raiser. However, you probably have the best hand. So he makes a continuation bet. If the flop comes rags you are probably ahead, and you could checkraise him or flat call. |

Re: Limp, limp, raise, then I muck AK.
His range is MUCH wider than AA or KK. Though I want to keep the pot small in this situation, if the stacks were deeper you could raise and not feel committed if he reraises or the flop comes and you miss. If they were less deep then you would need chips and can just push. Here they are exactly the right depth that I like a call and try to win a decent pot with TPTK and can get away cheaply if you miss.

You HAVE pot odds to hit an A or K.
