Flop?
Party 20/40, 10 handed. Folds to the button, a standard looking player (25ish/9ish) who raises, DonkE SB calls, I call in the BB with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB checks, I check, button bets, SB folds. Why should I checkraise or why should I call? |

Re: Flop?
I would check-raise here. You stand a good chance to win the pot on the turn unimproved. He may even dump on the flop right away. Check-calling is weak heads-up, and if he plays back at you on the flop, you stand to get multiple bets on the turn or river if you flush. In the long run this move will help you get paid off when you actually do flop a monster.

Re: Flop?
Checkraising is fine and good. YOu have a good draw and good equity in the pot, there's a small chance you have the best hand, and a decent chance he folds something like K9s.

Re: Flop?
I like a check-raise. Lots of better hands you can knock him off here. Bet any non K,Q,T turn.

I thought this was a check/call with an obvious draw and two broadway cards but I can be convinced otherwise.

Re: Ruh-roh
In a crowd C/C is better, but HU a CR turns the screws. You'll fold out a [censored] load of PP here.

Re: Flop?
I would definitely check/raise the flop. You generate a lot of fold equity right at the flop and can still continue your semibluff on the turn.
