that bet could mean alot of things, your calling and slowing down on the turn probably signified to him that you weren't too happy about your hand. so i'd say his range is pretty wide.. dont really see him having the 8 but..

its too bad u have no reads.

i think u can safely fold the river here. i dont see many people betting this % of the pot on the river w/less than a one pair hand...

The big bet on the river scares me. If the villian is not a maniac or at least aggressive I wouldn't be surprised if the villian has more than a pair here. An aggressive player might be betting the busted straight draw or the overpair. But a more vanilla player I would put on A8 or 99.

Please remember this is 50NL... and although I don't have a specific read on the player we can safely assume that he is a donkey.

Regardless, would you play this hand any differently on earlier streets?

Does anyone play back at him? Reraise the turn and check/fold?

3-bet flop.
or Raise turn.
or Push river.

At no point after the flop would you be excited to see an A,K,J,T,9,or 7. He's shortstacked, and your hand is crushing a lot of hands that he could have here. More aggressive is better, I think.

I would consider a raise on the turn for value against say x9, tt, jj. I might consider raising the turn in case he has JT for the oesd and 2 overs or QJ with the isd with 2 overs (if your read said he could have that - loose in calling a raise preflop - raise on a draw on the flop).

You called the river, so, what did he have?
I would have reraised the flop to find out if he made a set on you. Often, when people in the blinds want to represent that the flop helped them, they call the pre-flop raise and bet the flop. He check-raised you which makes me think he outdrew you somehow. They bluff check-raise usually when they think you're doing a continuation bet. I would have reraised his reraise on the flop to see where you are in the hand.
