I would check here. Make the pot 8 BB instead of 3.2 BB and I'm betting. I don't know what the critical pot size is that turns a check into a bet, but 3.2 BB is certainly under that number.

I check. There aren't a ton of hands that BB would peel with on this flop but give up to a turn bet. You're getting checkraised here quite often and the pot is very small.

This is a great time to check and take a free card. Being HU with the aggressive initiative, youll be betting strong draws like flush draws most of the time on the turn, this hand is an exception to the rule. The BB calling on this flop shows a lot of strength, I would almost certainly put him on a hand that isnt folding at any stage of this hand, so becuz I dont think the villain will fold to a turn bet, semibluffing with your strong draw loses its utility.

I check. I can't think of any made hand that villain would call the flop with that he'll fold on the turn, and you've got nut-no-pair.

I think Villain will sometimes have a hand like Q8s or even 77 and fold it here if you bet, but I like checking the turn anyway.

I think usually BB will have a better hand he won't fold, and it wouldn't be much fun getting checkraised here.

A check sets Villain up to steal on the river if he has, say, T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], but even if he has a hand like that, sometimes he won't attempt the steal.

13outs(9FD + 3GSD)

1 card to come we're 2.5:1 against winning this.

The pots 3.2, if we bet and are raised the pot will be 5.2+2of our bets.

5.2:2 or 2.6:1

If he folds, we win.

If he calls, its effectively 3.2+his bet :1 = 4.2:1 and we're 2.5 to improve.

I bet this, he'll raise or fold more often than call and i doubt he has a boat lol.

Ok i realise A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] puts quads on board, but thats relatively low so i wont change my calculations to adjust for this

small pot + low chance of opponent folding + reasonable chance of being check-raised = check.

I think the cool question is "how big does the pot have to be to make betting here better than checking?"

I estimate the answer is something like 7 BB.
