Default Same player - 2 straight flushes back to back....

In an 8 player home game last night a single player had 2 straight flushes (used both hole cards) back-to-back. The first one was a 6 card straight flush as he had the low end and the high end.

Anyway, does anyone know the approximate odds of this event occuring? We figured, roughly, 100 million to 1 or so.

Too bad we didn't buy any lottery tickets last night.

FWIW, the guy won 5 hands in a row. The 2 straight flushes, followed by the nut straight, then a flush and ended it all with a full house. It was amazing to say the least.

lol- I saw way more strange stuff than that online, and I'm not kidding.

I've been playing in home games and casino's for quite awhile and that is most definitely the very first time I have ever seen anything like that.

I won't go into detail again about some of the strange [censored] I saw while playing online but suffice it to say that if I saw something like that happen it wouldn't really suprise me to much.

Hmmm... Good thing this didn't happen online or your post would have sounded a little different. Don't you suspect the shuffle in your home game must be rigged?

Sorry, I really tried to not sound like a wise ass but I couldn't help it.

Default Ah, sorry...

I didn't see that Rusy JEDI posted just about the same thing I did. I wasn't trying to pile on.

Alright, for what it's worth...

I played some 200+ hours or in the last year at various casino's in Vegas, Lake Charles and home games. I never had a straight flush and have made quads twice.

In ~20 hours of playing online I had 2 straight flushes and quads 4 times - quad Aces twice.

In all those hours of playing live I've never seen near the number of statistcal anomolies that I saw in such a short period playing online.

I really don't want to get into the whole online thing again, so please don't turn this thread into the mess that the previous one turned into.
