Default KQo -- Did I play this correctly?

Did I play this hand correctly? (Also, is this the right forum for posting this, or is it better suited to the beginners forum?)

On the flop I raised to protect my hand with the two overcards.

Seeing the Q on the turn I bet, thinking top pair, and also betting to protect my hand - to encourage BB to fold if he had A or K.

I check/called the river to lose to BB's full house (he was holding Q7)

Should I have backed down to the BB aggression on the turn and folded there? Folded on the river? I was getting 9-1 odds and still think that I was right for calling. Was I?

Thanks...

I don't think I'd raise the flop here--in fact, I'd fold. I dont like to play just overcards unless I get at least additional help vis a vis straight or flush potential. With the flop as it is, you have no flush potential and a highly unlikely backdoor straight draw. Not to mention you could lose a lot of money to anyone w/ AK, AQ, or a K or Q that hit their kicker on the flop. Plus another [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] could make someone a flush. Having said that, if I played, and called the raise on the turn (an iffy play), I probably would have called the river bet, getting about 10:1 that the opponent is on something goofy like QJ or QT.

Welcome to the forums. Yeah, this hand does technically go in the microlimit forum.

As for the hand itself: first off, this is an autoraise pf for me. This might get BB to fold his crappy Q7 and win you the hand.

The way it played out, I'd just fold the flop. You don't even have odds to draw to your overcards getting 6:1, and IMO the pot is too small to justify fighting over against four people.

Raise preflop, fold the flop.
