I dunno, I've always had a thing for laces.

Its what all the rock stars are wearing now, you should explore it. Expand your horizons!

I find this rather funny since crafty punks have been taking out the laces and gluing the shoes shut for years.
If you're going to go this route, do it yourself, don't buy them premade. Use fabric glue from Joann's or Micheal's.

TT,

The girlfriend agrees with you on the jeans, and this weekend she dropped $250 on a pair of Diesel jeans for me. I'm learning - slowly, as I'm apt to do - that jeans are one more of those things in life that are worth spending money on. So, instead of 3 pairs, its one real good pair.

Creativity isnt a strong suit, yet. I'm still shocked that I can dress myself decently with any regularity.

Appreciatively,
yasher

Never be afraid to make a fashion mistake! Just like poker, you must practice to improve yourself. I'm a so-so looking guy, but I dress really well which takes me up quite a few notches. At first I was afraid to expand my horisions... then I went a bit nutz - I even wore a puffy white pirate shirt and a pair of brown leather jeans for a while ala Jim Morrison (don't try this at home kids). Eventually you will find your own unique style that cannot be copied, and makes you stand out in a crowd in a stylish way.

I'm a little self-conscious about my extended torso and how my hands aren't connected to my body and, instead, hang from my pockets, so go easy on me.

Nice fit on the sweater, the shirt is typical GAP... it has no shape. The jeans are classic college hipster, but it really says I want to wear something better but this is all I can afford.

The sweater was your saving grace, I'll give it a 5 on the *TT* scale.

I really wish you hadn't blown these up.

Jeans: A winner!

Shirt: I like, but I'm not a fan of Volcom (purely for business reasons only).

Slides: You can do better than that! Your dressed really well, then you kill it with sub par footwear.

You loose 2 points for the footwear, which earns you a 6.5 on the *TT* sliding scale.

PS: Roll up the sleves, or at least layer the shirt. It can be a bit gay solo, but would look great with a blazer.

What exactly do you mean by "layer the shirt"?

Put a sweater or a blazer on top. When I roll up my sleeves I usually only roll them up past my wrist, it creates a look of "freedom".

TT,

What exactly are you suggesting with this:

[ QUOTE ]
Jeans: Close, but you can do better. Look at the crotch, the guy has no package what so ever. If you got it, flaunt it!

[/ QUOTE ]

Surely you're not advocating tight package-outlining jeans?

Loose fit for a reason,
Asofel
