Default AQ: 2 pair: flush just got there

I'm multitabling (god that feels good to say that) so no reads. I nearly vomited when the 3rd diamond came.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

SB ($35.90)
BB ($23.95)
UTG ($24.75)
UTG+1 ($14.50)
UTG+2 ($29.25)
MP1 ($90.13)
MP2 ($14.30)
MP3 ($13.25)
Hero ($36.15)
Button ($48.27)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, 2 folds, BB calls $1, UTG+2 folds.

Flop: ($2.85) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.5, BB calls $1.50.

Turn: ($5.85) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4, BB calls $4.

River: ($13.85) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $15, Hero calls $15.

Final Pot: $43.85

is folding this river possible?

WOAH BABY ORANGE IS PLAYING ONLINE. I guess my downswing will get that much worse. Anyway, not a very pretty river and all of a sudden BB awakes. I think its a flush, but you are getting about 2-1. 1 in 3 times you might win, but I doubt it. I usually let this go.

1) that sure looks like a flush to me. i don't bluff in spots like this online, because i don't think people think enough about how much my betting pattern looks like a flush. that is, if i'm him making this bet, i want a call, not a fold. are there non-bluff hands that you beat?

2) what do you think when you see a bet like that? he bet $15, leaving himself $2.20 behind. why do people do that? i've never seen a good reason for it myself, but i see people do it every once in a while, and i don't really know why. anyone?

I agree. This was a tough hand, and I didn't know what to think on the river. I really think I should have folded. Any more thoughts before results?

very tough hand. you played it perfectly but got an ugly river. he has put a huge bet in after playing it like a flush draw and I cant see any alternative hand that he does this with. FOLD, cringe, swear and move on to the next hand, im pretty sure your beat and its very expensive to find out

I'd probably play it just like that except I'd pot flop and pot turn

As played I'd be folding the river, but I'd definitely pot the turn. You are ahead of anything but JT, but there are straight and flush possibilities to worry about.

From villain's point of view, if I have a flush or open-ended draw here, I have a 20% chance of making my hand. I figure, I can usually get a call for at least the same bet again if I make my hand. A pot-sized bet, puts me into -EV. I'd need to be comfortable, you would call a river bet of twice the turn bet, to make my play profitable.
