That's too easy. I don't think it's necessarily a no-brainer. And I know a lot of people who would have made the call. I do think it's an interesting topic. My guess is that Jason had some type of suited connector or complete trash.

I was at the table in this hand and it was pretty clear to me that afaust had AA with a chance for KK and thats about it. I figured Strassa would read the same thing and fold.

I had 55 and thought I was looking at an overpair 95% of the time.

Guy was playing extremely tight. I probably would've called an all in preflop, but everything inside me told me he had a bigger pair and I wasn't getting the odds to call.

the 5% accounts for AK and the potential of a misclick.

*Assuming* he take the villian's stack on any flop, if he flops trips or better. It is costing him 11500 to win 74330, which actually does give him very slight -EV.

[ QUOTE ]
i wonder in these situations (non meta game)

say you put in a normal raise (3xbb) with AQ/AJ and a player doubles your raise (6xbb) and you are pretty confident you are dominated, but are getting over 3.5-1

whats the usual play?

AQ
AJ

Assume stack sizes are equal and a call wont put you in a danger area. My fear here is losing a ton of chips postflop...

I assume this is easy enough, but I am learning and this seems like a nice place to ask (semi hijack).

since the hand has been debated can somebody help me now with my simple question?
