I know you're not saying preseason rankings FAVOR small schools. I know you're not.

You must be saying that because the preseason rankings are so heavily-biased AGAINST small schools, this chart will tend to give more weight to the underrated nature of small schools. That's what you're saying, right?

Please don't tell me that the TCU's, Fresno State's, Utah's, Boise's, and Tulane's of this world have been HELPED by the preseason rankings in comparison with their level of talent.

You are correct I write like a 5 year old.

Look at a school like Utah on that chart. IIRC they are not ranked in the preseason once, so if they jump to top 15 out of the blue it is a lot of points for that chart.
