Default OK (KJs 10/20)?

Button is 65/11.5/1 over 35 hands. Only read as I just sat down.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, Button calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (6.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 6.25 BB

I would have called a bet on the river. I think.

I think I 3bet the flop and bet the river. With no read, I don't think I get as much value from bluff induction as I get from just good ol' value betting.

That river check is pretty bad. He calls you with a ton of worse hands. I would rather 3-bet the flop as well and call down a cap.

My river play is not very good, I know. I sort of turn into a sissy on the end. I feel pretty confident at 10/20 with good table selection, but it is absolutely something I have to work harder on. I have read chapter 21 (Heads-Up On The End) in Theory of Poker and learned a lot, but will have to reread it a dozen times more.

I think if you’re checking here, you most likely have a problem with value betting the river in general. I mean this bet is pretty obvious to me. You're really giving up a lot of value by not betting here. I'd concentrate on putting you opponent on a range of cards. Think of what he could have here. This guy is really loose he could have any PP or any K. 65% VPiP includes every PP K2s+ and K2o+ which all make sense give his play.

Considering that the button has a call rate of 65, I'm thinking along the lines of any face card, any two suited or a baby pair. For this reason, I'm going to war on the flop. I don't want that flush draw to be cheap, and I have a good kicker for a pair of kings. There just aren't that many hands that beat me at this point. On the turn I bet again, as you did (calling a raise, though). The river is scary. Now the 3 beats me. However, I'm thinking the ace high flush draw or small pp are more likely and betting. I expect to get called with these hands since he called the turn. If I get raised, I can lay it down.

It's worse then that really. The top 65% of hands minus the top 11% of hands gives you an approximate range of 77-22,A6s-A2s,K9s-K2s,Q9s-Q2s,J2s+,T2s+,94s+,84s+,74s+,64s+,54s,A9o-A2o,KTo-K2o,Q4o+,J6o+,T7o+,97o+,86o+,76o

Way way way too weak. I 3bet the flop most likely here and bet every street after that. Why not bet the river after you bet the turn. Your turn donk represents a 9, so I doubt he will raise a 3. He is betting a 3 if checked to however, and you must call, so you might as well bet to try to get value from worse hands (k-weak or a hi or maybe pocket pairs). I also call a river raise, since he didnt raise the turn so we know he doesnt have a 9.
