Don't get me started with the dumb John Elway commercials.

[/ QUOTE ]

A. How much money has Elway made from his commercials, car dealerships, etc.?

B. How dumb is that??

[/ QUOTE ]

Just because someone makes money from something doesn't mean what they're doing is dumb? How about the guys from Jackass? Are they dumb? Is the stuff they do dumb? What about Paris Hilton's useless ass?

Yeah, this happens everywhere.

When I lived in Minneapolis, the U of MN hockey and basketball coaches (Clem Haskins at the time) did some dumb ass commercials. Al Skinner of Boston College does ads for a men's clothing store in Boston that are often high on the unintentional comedy scale. Hell, Dick Vermeil still does commercials in Philly, and he hasn't coached there in close to 25 years.

However, Baltimore does seem to have more of this, though, with a wider cast. Cal Ripken would be doing commercials if he played in any town. But Heap, Ogden, and Lewis?

Just the idea of Ray Lewis doing commercials for a law firm makes me giggle.

Here in the Boston area we have Curt Schilling selling Ford trucks, Kevin Millar selling Kentucky Fried Chicken, Adam Vinatieri selling Papa Gino's, Ray Bourque and Troy Brown doing commercials for Banknorth, and Tim Wakefield and Joe Thornton doing ads for local furniture stores. And everyone and their mother shills for Dunkin Donuts.

It is now apparent to me that I watch far more TV now than I did in Boston.

That is actually for All Star Auto Glass. Moyer owns it, or is one of the owners.
