[ QUOTE ] Patrick Del Poker Grande loves this one. Seriously. [/ QUOTE ] awesome looking player there, but i dont know if I like the no display on the unit. i normally dont like those remote thingys. [/ QUOTE ] Same here, that extra unit hanging on the cord is really annoying to me. I'm in the hunt for an MP3 player myself, anyone have any other good recommendations?? Ponks |

Iriver H10, end of story. Got one a week ago, couldn't be happier with it. I got the 20gig for I think $290 and I think it's far superior to my friend's Ipod.

Re: I hate Ipod and want something else for MP3\'s
this player isnt set up for napster or yahoo yet. it has the internal clock needed to be compatable, but will need a firmware upgrade for it to work with DRM WMA.
i have an ipod 4g and the iriver h10 5gb for napster. i would never use the h10 if napster worked with ipod. i think you'll be disappointed moving from the controls of the ipod to the iriver. from what i hear the creative zen micro is pretty good. |

Creative Zen Micro
I've got a Creative Zen Micro and it's great. If you want to take advantage of a windows media subcription service (like Napster or newcomer Yahoo which is $5 - 6/ month)then you have to get a compatible player (Ipods are NOT compatible). See www.playsforsure.com for info. BTW - subscription services are the future of downloadable music and Apple is stubbornly refusing to move in that direction, which is a terrible business decision.
If you want to see reviews by a guy who's looking for an ipod killer, I recommend reading this guy's blog: Digital Media on Omar's Blog In particular: Creative Zen Micro vs Ipod review Enjoy. |

Re: Creative Zen Micro
I have a Creative Nomad Zen Xtra. It's quite a bit bigger than the full size Ipod (especially thicker), but to me price was a definite consideration. I got a 60 GB model for $250, which is half of what Apple charges. The interface is pretty good and so
far I really like it. And it's so nice to be able to put every song you come across on it and still have room for plenty more.
