Default KJo hand - Flop decision

MP3 was real bad, pretty LAG, would overplay weak made hands
CO was almost all in, and not particularly good
SB was a typical LAP, if there is such a thing

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO raises, 1 fold, SB calls, Hero calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls.

Flop: (10 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks, MP3 bets, CO raises, SB calls, Hero ????

How bad was the preflop call???
I checked the flop with the intent of raising a LP bet.

Fold, call, or 3-bet here?

With your reads and the CO almost all-in I think should 3-bet.

Fold PF

If your reads are right though, contine with you thought of CR'ing two LAGS who will overplay their hands.

Fold KJo for one more bet from the BB? Against a bad, almost all-in raiser? Is it that weak of a hand?

I can't stay out of a big pot like that with KJ.

That's what I thought. I knew I chickened out.

My preflop decision was influenced by my reads (basically, KJo isn't in bad shape against CO's likely raising hands, and SB's cold-calling hands), but for some reason I chickened out on the flop, and folded. It turned out that my reads were pretty much right on... In particular, note MP3 "pumping" his inside straight draw.

Like, top pair, weak kicker, or middle pair, high kicker. He'll 3-bet/cap those sort of hands.

EDIT: Or two pair on a board with 4 to a flush or straight.

I find that the game becomes much easier when you just ignore anything that a poor, short-stacked opponent does. Focus instead on the poor opponent(s) who are still in the hand with you, and extract the maximum from them in the side pot on the off chance that the all-in really does have you beat.

And .50/1 hands kinda do belong in microlimits.
