I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote that. As usual. Calling really should be the best option here, since the opponent is way more likely to not have a pair of kings or trip dueces. Make him bluff away his money. Strange though, posting one thing even though I'd play it differently at the table.

Also - since he bet at it I am going to guess that he does NOT have a 2 (because he more likely would have checked if he had trips).

[/ QUOTE ]

An aware oppoentent might bet out 2s in hopes that AA/Kx or a just plain aggressive player with a lower pocker pair raises, setting up a flop 3-bet or turn check/raise.

I think we want a SD here.

As allready pointed out this could be a bluff or semi-bluff (holding a smaller pocket-pair)

Eiter we are ahead or hopelessly behind.
Cheapest road to SD including checking the river if op check it since that could mean either bluff or a K with poor kicker.

I like the option of raising the flop and check on the turn then call the river.

Call, check if he checks turn, call or bet river.

I generally fold face-up here, while lamenting the fact that somebody always hits his K when I have pocket queens. If anybody misses my display, I make sure to point out that I what I folded was pocket queens.

Since I should probably throw some content in, I will say that the anti-raising crowd needs to consider how this works when you missed that flop and how you're going to play that.

Make sure one bet goes in on every round.

Because the majority of the time (65 percent at least) he will have a weak hand and won't bet it on the river.

His two most likely hands are a bare, unimproved Ace and a pocket underpair. He may still have hopes of drawing out on you, which is why you raise here, since he may well call. If you just call and he checks the river he'll never call you with an Ace-high that hasn't improved, which he'll hold maybe 20 percent of the time.*

I think he will call the river.

Edit: Or bet.
