Default 99 hand, one overcard, really bad turn card - what to do?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 4 folds, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, BB folds, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero ???

EDIT: I should probably give a read on villain. He seemed somewhat loose, and a little on the passive side - only 20 hands, however.

Yeah it's ugly, but it's one loose guy. I bet again and take a free showdown. I fold if he check raises me on the turn.

loose/passive = fire again
fold to any agression back in your direction.

I think you have to bet the turn. If he is a passive calling station, he may call on the flop with Ace high. His call doesn't mean the flop improved his hand much at all. The very scary turn card might actually help you get rid of some drawing hands that should stay. An OESD should call, but will probably fold incorrectly with the possible flush and paired board. Also, you would love a hand like J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to fold, and they might with a board like that. If you get check raised or bet into on the end (without hitting your 9) I would fold, otherwise bet hoping to win right there planning to check behind on the end if called. Obviously, if a 9 comes off on the river, bet or raise.
