Default Bad call tonight

Well I ended up heading home early tonight. We were playing $20 NL I had A 5. Everyone calls the blinds flop comes A, 3, 8. Oppenent bets $5, everyone else folds, I call it. Turn is another Ace, he puts me all in, 36 dollars worth, im blinded my 3 aces, dont notice my kicker and call it. Lost 36 bucks to an A 10. He hadnt raised on the pocket cards, so I figured he didnt have a face card to go along with his ace, but I should have known my 5 wasnt gonna cut it. Heh at least I learned somthing. I should have noticed the small kicker and folded. Or would you guys have stayed in? Grrr, lol I hate Aces

Position, pre flop action, blind size, table size, etc. would be helpful.

Fold to the flop bet.

With that flop bet what range of hands did you put the bettor on? How many of those hands did you beat? I think you would be surprised that if you really thought about that fold would seem almost automatic.

Once you hit the turn there is no turning back for you.

A's with lower kickers can get you in a lot of trouble. If anything I wouldn't have played this hand at all and would have probably mucked the cards on the flop bet.
