2 Hands...2-5 NL NYC club
Hand 1:
I have 150 in front of of me, UTG+1 raises to $15, folded to me in BB. I have A10o. I call making a self note to not get trapped with kicker issues. UTG+1 is a good aggresive player. Flop come AQ4 all clubs. I lead out $20, raised to $40. What's the right play here? Hand 2: $350 in front of me, on the button. UTG raises to $20 folded to me. I have AK. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] The raiser is a poor player that has been running good, but I haven't seen too much to know what he raises with, I just call. Blinds fold. Flop comes J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], I check, preparing to check raise, he checks behind me. Turn is K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet $25, he raises to $70. Now what? I'll post the results in a bit. Appreciate all, good and bad. |

Re: 2 Hands...2-5 NL NYC club
1) Fold. Out of position, shitty hand, UTG+1 is a "good aggressive player"
2) Fold. |

Re: 2 Hands...2-5 NL NYC club
Why is the button acting before UTG?
On the first hand you should note your suits, but even with a club that looks like a fold. And fold pre-flop too. Short of a miracle flop you're not going to be putting money in the pot with the best hand. I don't understand why you are acting first on the button in the second hand, but since that seems to be the case, you're in a pretty bad spot. You don't want much money to go in the pot on that board. I don't understand why you want to check-raise on that flop. You probably have the best hand but a check-raise there is basically just a bluff. Please clarify the order of action though. With position this hand would be much easier to deal with. |

Re: 2 Hands...2-5 NL NYC club
Good point, rethinking I was SB in hand 2.
Hand 1, I figured I was outkicked with little doubt. Not sure if was wise, but I reraised him to 80 representing the flush. He thought for awhile, asked me how much I had, then folded. His comment was 'flopped it huh' to which i aggreed. Hand 2, I folded to the reraise he showed 89o. I posted it to see if my fold there was too weak. Thanks. |

Re: 2 Hands...2-5 NL NYC club
Hand one is a horrible preflop call. On the flop, if he is blufabble, push. He clearly doesn;t like that flop.
