Default Raising in NL turny question

A friend of mine had the follow question. Im told him I would toss it out to the zoo....

[ QUOTE ]
The other situation I've had came up when I was playing in a tournament in a casino up in MN. I raised a pot to say 1000. I believe there were a few limpers in the pot at 100/200 and I was trying to either take it down or isolate against a single player with a big hand. A player went all in for what was like $1125. it was a minor bump of my raise. The limpers all called the allin. When it got back to me, I was told that I didn't have the option of raising again. I wondered if that was specific to that casino or if you've seen that ruling.

standard rule, if the all-in isnt a full raise (or a certain % in some cases) then is is considered as a call

Most places I've seen, the all-in raise needs to be 50%+ on top of the original bet/raise to keep the round open for another raise.

I.e. had he raised all-in to $1400 (half of your $800 raise), you could then raise again.

Try searching before posting, you'll get your answer instantly. This question is asked at least twice a week, so you can save yourself some time by just searching past posts. I know some topics might be difficult to search for, but it helps from clogging the forum with deja vu posts.
