Re: AQs gets capped on the flop...
Given your read, I think you're up against a set after this flop. I would probably check-call the river.

Re: AQs gets capped on the flop...
[ QUOTE ]
The betting on this hand is a little strange. [/ QUOTE ] That's an understatement. I was thinking you have to bet the river. Villian was trying to push you off a hand, couldn't do it so he was going to check down. Then he raises the river? I would have bet the river and called the raise. I probably would have played it wrong. |

Re: AQs gets capped on the flop...
His play strongly indicated a draw. There is no reason to bet this river card, because it completes a straight. If there was a 2 flush on the flop and the river bricked, you could bet in hopes that he caught a pair. This is not the case here. I would check/call here. I don't like bet/folding here because you don't have enough hands with him to tell you whether or not he's playing KQ very strangely. Also, you can't be sure that villain wouldn't bet a busted draw when checked to twice. Who knows? He might peg you for ace high since you checked 2x, and "value bet" a small PP.
