If you're bored you're probably doing it right.

Nope. If you're bored, you're probably playing too low or not changing up games enough (N/L v. limit, adding stud or Omaha), taking breaks etc. It's pathetic if you're playing for money and have made only 6K in 14 months, counting bonuses.

A professional player will play approx. one hand out of six. Many people find this boring especially if you play live. The size of the stakes are secondary IMO.

I don't know what you play, but I play tournaments, no limit ring games, and mess around w/ higher limits while grinding out my money at party 3/6.

I also mix in some Omaha hi/lo. You gotta keep it fresh.

pick up shorthanded play.
When you are in headsup situations all the time, and you have to fight for your blinds, and make accurate reads, you are playing poker again.
On the other hand, if a $100 is a big swing for you, forget it. You might have reached the ceiling of your psychological bankroll. This is not good if you are playing for money, because you cannot expect any raises in pay unless you can overcome this.

I agree, 6,000 dollars bonus for playing a game is pretty good for most people. Much better than losing like 80% of the players do.
