Default Analysis of NO vs CAR.

In my post-game wrap-up I discuss the surprisingly adequate defense, the Beast Named Ernie Cornwell, why Aaron Brooks is Da Man, and why Mike Shepherd isn't.

Here's a tidbit:

The Saints owe their 23 points to Aaron Brooks, John Carney, and the defense getting good field position. Yes, the Carolina D routinely ravages opposing running backs. However, this week showed that the Saints can't rely upon Deuce to move the sticks consistently.

You can read it here due to formatting issues (pre tags and whatnot).

Can you imagine that what I'm posting is controversial? That building an offense around handing the ball off up the middle to a guy that gets 2.0 yards a carry up the middle is a bad idea?

Yeah, but I'm glad they do it, as he's on my FF team.

Hell, if the Saints started running him outside it'd be awesome.

Definitely need to run to the edges/be more involved in the short passing game. Jerome Bettis he ain't.

Last year the saints averaged 5.01 yards per carry on rushes off the right tackle, the 5th best average in the league.

Everywhere else? Less than 4 ypc.
