Default Replaying hands

Hi,

I recall reading somewhere Gergory's recommendation to
replay hands right after you've played them in order to
learn something about your opponents and also to clarify
your own mistakes right when you make them.

Are people using some sort of tool to replay the hands?
I find that looking at the instant hand history in Party
Poker is rather cumbersome. Any better way?

Suerte,
Jonathan

www.pokertracker.com also has an Omaha version of the program (assuming you have the Hold'em version, it's $45...it's $55 standalone)

It replays hands and everything else imaginable.

Yes, I have pokertracker, but am not sure how to use
it to reply hands while I'm in the middle of playing
on-line. When I'm playing I have the auto-import
window open to import my hand histories and update
the stats displayed by playerview on my screen.

Is there some way to replay the hands without shutting down
the autoimport?

Thanks,
Jonathan

There's some kind of external game viewer/replayer. Never used it though.

You want to actually replay hands while you're still playing? That sounds a little nuts to me... (Gerg do you do this?!)

Usually when I recognize a situation during a hand I want to mull over more than I have time for given that I'm multitabling, I'll just go grab the HH when the hand concludes and email it to myself. After the whole session (maybe next day) I revisit the hand.

I suppose if you can replay hands while you're still playing, it's conceivable that you might pick up something on a given opponent that you didn't readily observe while playing the hand the first time; however, I'd be hard pressed to believe this happens often if you are an observant player. I think more can be gained by reviewing the hand with more of a clean slate at a later time.

If I’m just 2 tabling, then yes. It’s funny but one of the biggest reasons I do it is that I find it helps keep me off tilt. It forces my attention on the decisions instead of the result.

I also never seem to get around to reviewing them later, and if I do then I’ve forgotten key info like what I thought my table image was at the time. I sometimes prefer 2-tabling to playing more tables and there is enough downtime to easily review the hands.

But how do you do it?
Do you use the hand replayer in PokerTracker?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I do something similar for holdem. I keep a notebook
by my computer, and jot down the hand numbers and interesting
points that I want to revisit later. Its worked well for me
at holdem. But I was curious about Gregs idea of looking
at the hands "in real time" and wanted to try it.

Suerte,
Jonathan

Open the ring game summary icon.
Click on game results (3rd table after general and session results
Look for the recent hand and double click it
Screen will pop open with that hand
