Re: Going off the deep end
[ QUOTE ]
The other thing you could do is go in and pretend to be interested in a really expensive rug for your whole 10-room house, get him really worked up about comission, etc. Have your girl call you on your cell and tell her where you are, come on down. Or else just have her walk in at an appointed time. Tell her you're looking at getting all this stuff. Then have her say, "No, honey, this is that needledick who told me to go to TJ Maxx instead." "Oh, okay honey. Can I talk to the owner, needledick?" NT [/ QUOTE ] I like this. |

I can't believe how many sensible answers I'm getting. This is OOT, right? [/ QUOTE ] Fine you want some crazy ass advice... Break into his house in the middle of the night and tie him up and then rape his wife in front of him. Then piss on all the rugs in his house. |

Or rape him on videotape. Leave him tied up in front of his TV with it on looping playback.

Re: Going off the deep end
Do you know if your local TV station has a consumer affairs reporter?
I like this. It has more bite to it than telling the manager. Ideally, the store takes a huge hit in sales due to the bad press and the POS salesman still gets fired. |

Re: Going off the deep end
I don't see much utility in getting in his face or talking to him at all. He was an ass and he knew he was being an ass when he did it. The only conversation worth having is simply asking him to get you in touch with his manager.
The TV idea is good for pure revenge, although I personally tend to loathe the way those reports are put together and wouldn't want any part of it. Plus if you play nice and work with the manager, cheap/free carpet isn't bad. |

Re: Going off the deep end
I'd go down and have a talk with the manager(with wife there to explain). This guy would lose his job. Even if I had to go all the way to the owners. I couldn't imagine this guy working there the next day. You may also get a nice compensational discount for a new carpet.
btw...Upgrade the pad on your order before the carpet. Not the other way around. b |

[ QUOTE ]
Isn't it great that a floor person in a carpet showroom can be condescending? [/ QUOTE ] been to a starbucks lately? I suggest you purchase a few porno magazines of varying types, or just choose a few from under your bed, then fill out every order form using his name c/o the address of the store and mail them in. He will shortly be recieving lots of mail at work that might bring his image down a notch..... or call the store when he is not there and leave a message that he needs to contact his parole officer IMMEDIATELY. |

Re: Going off the deep end
[ QUOTE ]
In this particular instance, if your girl was treated this way by a plain sales person I'd have her go back and ask for the manager. If you want you can come along for moral support, but let her talk to them. If it was indeed the owner himself who treated her this way too bad. Just tell as many people as you can about the experience, discouraging them from going there. Swede [/ QUOTE ] I'd be very suprised if it was the owner or manager that did this. They are usually the most sugary sweet, suck up'est (yak!) people on the floor. b |

Isn't it great that a floor person in a carpet showroom can be condescending? [/ QUOTE ] Ever been to a high end showroom? Salespeople can be condescending no matter what they're selling. Some carpet sales guys are real sleazebags. I can think of 3 right off the bat that I used to deal with regularly. And that wasn't even out of a high end shop. b |
