Default WTF - How do you beat these people??? (Marginal Content)

Clearly on the final hand, I didn't need to 3-bet the riv and thus cost myself 2 BB. Alas, I was steaming plenty going into the hand and even more after.

I'm trying not to be results-oriented in my thinking but multiple garbage beats or awful catches lead to a steamjob (yes, i just called it that) which pisses me off b/c I can then start blaming the losses on myself (which is in part true and just enough to get me to sit down the next day and repeat the whole cycle again, trying to improve but inevitably not)

Please tell me how to play these hands differently/better. Any advice is appreciated

You should move up to 15/30, where the players are really good and respect your raises.

Really bad PF calls on the first 2 hands--dump the first one, raise the second. On the 3rd hand you did not bet the turn...so you were afraid of the flush draw on the flop. If this is the case, you should check the flop and bet the turn if a non-heart (or even any K) drops, this would make a turn call for the flush draw incorrect--but what you really should do is lead the flop AND the turn.

How I would have played these hands differently...

Hand 1: raise/fold PF depending on reads -- mostly fold
Hand 2: raise PF, bet river
Hand 3: bet turn, b/c river

Party Poker should add a slap button like the one mIRC have. That would be used so frequently... Anyway...

Hand1: Nice aggression post flop
Hand2: Raise preflop but why is he even playing 72s UTG+1... Hmm
Hand3: Bet/Call the river. If he fires back at you, he must have something good with all of his checking and still staying in the hand. Sure, three kings is a good hand but your opponent feel strong here.

hand 1 raise the flop

hand 2 bet the river, raise pf

hand 3 bet the turn.

You appear to be playing scared, maybe you were running bad, but you can't let that change the way you play.

You are a bit too results focused, don't worry about it, that is something you cannot control. Remember you are playing a game where the decisions involve incomplete information.

Heres some advice, whomever those people were that all drew out on you, hope you find them again. Many of thier plays were poor and will cost them in the LR. I have never played 2/4 but I here that there are many more good players at that limit. In the last hand that guy might have been slowplaying because he was heads up and the pot was small. He might have been trying to induce a bluff from you on the river, and he was fortunate enough to catch you with trip kings. But then again he might have known what the heck he was doing. Heck he CC you with that hand preflop.

Now the guy with the 72s is your bread and butter, they are what allow us to make money even when we are just starting to learn the game.
