Default Semi-deep 5/10 6-max: Turned two pair in battle of the blinds

Been playing with villain for a bit. He seems to be your typical semi-loose aggressive player but haven't seen too much to draw my attention to him. We haven't butted heads just yet.

Does anyone look to get more chips in this pot with two pair heads up? Or even take a different line?

Looks like a straight draw, tptk, or overpair from the villain. You have him beat enough of the time here to just call him down as you did. I'd play it the exact same.

A river raise may be profitable, but getting reraised would be awful. I think I only go for the raise when I'm running really well and feeling awesome.

Why is getting re-raised awful?

We have a very easy fold.

Sometimes I 3 bet that turn,
but if villain is just making a move he may spew more on river -
which it looks like he did.

Happy b-day. I know he didn't have T-Q your birthday

I like reraising the turn. Make it $250 or so. Unraised pot, you've both got plenty behind, so it's not committing you.

If he comes over the top of THAT you can probably safely assume he has you beat.

Thanks for the birthday wishes... villain actually had 75o and MHIG... I felt pretty good about the hand and didn't feel like playing a massive pot with deep stacks and not having defined his hand too well. I was just curious to see if anyone else plays this harder. 75o didn't even occur to me, but given his line it makes sense.

No need to play it harder and chase off someone you are beating but who will continue to bet or bluff a worse hand on the river which makes up for the few times he has you beat.

You played it fine...I would not make a habit of betting this river in an unraised pot vs. the blinds...that being said if it is raised pot I'll put the rest in on the turn. He calls with a10 or better and u rake a nice pot.

a 3-bet knocks out the weird/weaker two pairs no? and i don't see a naked 10 check-raising this turn.

I guess villain could be loose enough to call down both streets.

Generally, I like the way it was played.
