Haven't played no-limit in a while but how was my line on this

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (8 handed) converter

MP1 ($48)
MP2 ($94.35)
CO ($115.63)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO calls $1, Button folds, SB (poster) folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3</font>, CO calls $3.

Flop: ($8.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

what do you do if he bets, say

1) $20
2) $30
3) $40

on the river?

i hadn't decided yet but i'm pretty deep in here and I've played this hand in such a strange way that he might just bluff at it

I don't think it's that strange, I'd be surprised if he doesn't know what you have.

I'd make it $4 preflop and lead the flop, then take it from there. Maybe CR the turn if called.
