Default two steal attempts with a poster

sorry for the double hand post but these are short. there was some postflop play that wasn't that important.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $3.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, Hero raises, CO (poster) calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $3.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero raises, CO (poster) calls, Button calls, SB folds, BB folds.

I usually muck in both of these spots but thought these might be decent steals as the table was tight

These seem okay to me, but I don't really know, and I'm curious too. The presence of the poster does add additional blind money to go after but also increases the chances you'll get called or played back at. But it's not like you're stealing with complete garbage; you probably have a decent chance of winning anyway.

I like both. But you are definitely committed to a flop bet no matter what is both cases...that's the most likely way to complete the steal...

I missed both times, auto bet the flop and got raised once and called in two spots with 44's on a K52 board and check folded the turn. I still liked the raises though but they were about at the bottom end of my stealing range

If you're going to steal with a small pocket pair why not steal with 72o. In both cases if your opponent calls you really have no idea where you stand when the flop comes, because the flop is overcards at best.

So when stealing I always think what are the chances he folds and not what cards I've got.

When stealing versus a poster, a sb and a bb I want better hands than you tried with because I expect a call from at least one of them.
