Default JJ hand at 50/100 - $55s

Blinds are 50/100. I have t1250, about 12x BB. There are still 7-8 players at the table so finishing in the money is not certain.

I get JJ in early position and raise to 300, a player from MP (no reads) pushes over the top for about 1000 and it comes back around to me. Fold or Call?

If folds this, I have about 9x BB left which equates to a good enough stack to utilize fold equity. If I call this and win, money is more certain for me. However, if I lose this I'll be crippled and pretty much game over.

What to do?

Call easily. I'd seriously consider pushing preflop even with 12bb, as JJ is horrible to play OOP if called.

Call. I don't hate a pre-flop push either.

I'd say MP has a fairly wide range here, and you're only behind 3 of those hands. With the dead money in the pot, you have an easy call.

Here is how you sort this type of problem out:

Step 1: Caluculate pot odds. bb+sb+your raise+his raise = pot....his raise-your raise = what you have to call. pot odds = pot - what you have to call. in this situation, you are getting 2:1

step 2: determine your equity when compared to his range.

even if it is as tight as this:

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

58,218,336 games 0.079 secs 736,940,962 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) / tie (%)

Hand 1: 36.1901 % [ 00.36 00.00 ] { JsJh }
Hand 2: 63.8099 % [ 00.64 00.00 ] { AA-QQ, AKs, AKo }

you need to call.

edit: I'm running horribly and I am very grumpy. I really hate answering trivially easy questions like this.
