Default ($11) PS SnG

I dont have the HH from this so I am doing it by memory.

We are HU and I have J10s. Blinds are $100-$200. I do the standard raise of 3xbb. I have around $8500 and he has around $4000. He has been LAG when we got HU. MAybe 6 hands into HU.

ME J10s
Flop comes 5J5
I bet $1000(around) and he calls.
Turn 9, no bet by either of us
River 4, I bet $600(low but I made a value bet in my mind) and he goes all in for his remaing stack of around $2400.

What was the right thing for me to do??

It's impossible to answer this question with no information about the rest of your HU's match. The "right thing to do" depends heavily on what you and villain have been doing over the last several hands.

Sorry, that's just the way HU is.

mosdef is right, HU is mostly about reads and the like, but in general, I wouldn't make such a wussy bet of 600, and I certainly wouldn't fold to a "LAG" when I have top pair. If he has the 5, which is very unlikely, congratufuckinglations to him. You'll still have a chance to beat him later.

We had only 5-6 hands so I didnt have a good read on him. He raised my BB once or twice and I did the same to him.

the $600 was small but what should I have bet if I thought I had the best hand and he was just going to call?

Results in white:

He had 94o and made 2 pair.

I'm sorry... The flop was J FIVE FIVE?

He rivered his kicker of a FOUR?

You know you still had the best hand right?

Its not a bad fold at all...but I think I'd lean towards calling this against a LAG HU. ... but the other replys are more right in what they said than me saying this...
