Default AA - SB - Standard?

Hero is in the SB with $140 and AA.
CO - $120
Button - $120

Limps to CO who is 16/5 after about 50 hands
CO open raises to $5.
Button Calls $5

Hero makes it $20. Like it hate it? Amount right?

I would probably make it $25-$30.

Sorry Joyce, I'm hijacking. Similar senario.

Hero is sb with KK and $21.
utg raise to $1.25 (he's 37/11) with another $28 left
button calls $1.25 (52/14) with $20 left
Hero?

I'm confused, does reraising out of the blinds sort of announce that you're holding a big pair? There must be something more to it that I don't understand, as I'm screwing up left right and center in this game.

reraising denotes big pair - but honestly people will reraise with a lot of things: 99-JJ, AK, AQ.

with KK you definitely should be reraising pf.

Yes, this is an automatic raise with KK. Even though it's obvious you have a big hand, calling here is just too cute.

I agree with the slightly larger raise the 4x initial raise. If they are going to call 20 they will call 25-30 and u want to get as much money in as possible. And if u win the pot there, show aces and do it again in about 10-15 hands. Its fine taking down the $10 preflop without having to go to a showdown.

To the KK hand:
You need to raise preflop, again a little more than 4x the initial raise and see who follows u. You need to do this for the main reason that u will be out of position the while time. IF its only 1 person i may call to try and get more money in the pot with a c/r on the flop. I dont like 2 people in the pot here

I agree with the general concensus. 20 = raise the pot. raising in SB indicates a strong hand. I think you are giving that rock with the 16%vpip and 5%pfr too big of a reason to fold PF if you make it any more than 20 (25 at the most). Do what you need to do to get the pot big enough to get him all in on the flop (hopefully when it comes all unders to his hand) but not at the expense of getting this call. 50 hands isn't a lot of info, but he prolly has a good pair and you want to stack him.

Thoughts on my thoughts?
