If I were in your shoes, I'd probably go for it, assuming that you were able to pick the strap and and were able to pick a small one. My understanding is that since anal sex on a man stimulates the prostate, it can actually be very enjoyable (and 12 million gay men can't be wrong). I bet if most women based their idea of vaginal sex on how their OB/GYN exams felt, we wouldn't have very many women that wanted to try sex... I can't imagine a speculum feels very comfortable, and I'm not quite sure your analogy applies.

To the OP, you are aware that there are many many size options for strap-ons, so it's not like the requirement is that you end up with the foot long cock of death.
